If you want to greatly increase your chances of a
successful hunt the Area Scout program could be of help. The Area Scout program contains
plenty of detailed information on specific units and areas. The information is gathered
from various sources, but most importantly it contains a data base of information from
other hunters on the areas they have hunted.
You'll receive first hand knowledge of the area from people who
have hunted it before.
Area Scout Comprehensive Unit Reports contain
information on:
Where previous hunters have hunted.
What worked on the hunt and what did not.
What the hunters would have done differently.
How the animals moved.
How they responded to calls.
Any access problems.
And if available names and phone numbers of land owners to contact for access.
Heres how it works. You send in a request for information on a
unit you have drawn out for. The Hunters Network will then send you information
gathered from other hunters about this unit. If the person who submitted the report will
accept phone calls or e-mails, for additional information, that will also be provided.
This program will become a great resource for hunters that are looking at hunting new
areas or those that have drawn a tag in an unfamiliar area.
Comprehensive Unit Reports will cost only $50.00 plus a $5.00
handling fee. Members of The Hunters Network will receive one Comprehensive Unit
Report a year free. You can receive additional free reports by submitting area reports. For each Area Report submitted
you will receive a $25.00 credit good toward the purchase of Comprehensive Unit Reports.
We need your help. Of course, the more hunters that submit reports,
the more information we can supply to prospective hunters thereby helping more hunters and
members. If you know of anyone that has drawn a quality tag or hunted a good unit please
make copies of the form and ask them to submit a report.
Please get this to as many hunters as you can. We hope to have most units covered within
the eleven states we cover within a year. Then we will concentrate on other areas of
interest also.
